Born in Mansfield and went to King Edward School in 1934,thento High Oakham School till 1942.She started work at Mansfield Co-op cheque office till when first child was born.In the last war her and friend Una served tea to army in Mansfield.Liked bike riding,was ingirl guides,in later life indoor&outdoor bowling,dancing,bus trips&walking until knee trouble then had mobility scooter.Always put money incharity boxes.Loved her children,2 sons,daughter,4 grandchildren,4 greatchildren.Did not like flying as she Vulcan crash at air show with me.
